In 2008, Kfir Gavrieli co-founded Tieks, an American footwear brand. The company was one of the early adopters of online shopping. The leading fashion brand launched by selling directly to consumers through the internet. 

Two years later, the footwear brand launched its line of premium ladies’ flat shoes. The line is unique in that each pair has been designed to fold up and fit inside a purse. Each pair comes with a carrying bag that consumers can use for alternate shoes as they please.

Additionally, Tieks shoes are made from high-quality materials, including Italian leather and textures. Through Kiva, the foundation has contributed to a variety of women’s funds in a bid to fight global poverty. The contributions amount to over $10 million, which goes toward female entrepreneurs living in poverty. 

As a direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tieks launched Operation #SewTogether to donate medical-grade face masks while also asking the Tieks community to make lower-grade masks for hospitals all over the United States.
